Crochet Wall Hanging 4"-12" Hoop - BUTTERFLIES FROM HEAVEN

These wall hangings were inspired by the doilies my mother created and had throughout the house.  We had them on every end table, coffee table, and dining table.  Fast forward to modern times, these are more known to be “dust collectors” LOL!  I decided to put them in a hoop so that they could go on the wall and the design would be presented better.  I have one of my favorite lacy designs hanging in the corner of the living room where a hanging plant would normally go, and it gives these art pieces the freedom to spin and twirl!  In the golden hour, the sun peeks through my living room window showcasing all of the lovely stitches onto my living room wall, so aesthetically pleasing!!!

Once the doily is completed is when I know what direction I will lean towards in bringing the piece to life.  I love adding gemstones, wooden beads, tassels, fringe, lace, and various textures.  I also love crocheting with size 20 or 30 crochet thread; the design is much lacier. 

The possibilities are endless…during the holiday season, the smaller ones are used as Christmas ornaments!  I have many who also hang them from the car rearview mirror!
